The EMCA compact positioning drive operates within most communication architectures, including EtherNet/IP. It integrates a maintenance-free and wear-resistant brushless dc motor with power and control electronics. The drive system avoids long motor cables, improves electromagnetic compatibility and reduces installation workload and space requirements. Built-in monitoring functions ensure safety and reliability. The optional absolute encoder leads to faster startup after power loss because there is no need to home the electromechanical system. Available in two motor lengths and power classes, the motor can deliver peak torque of up to 0.91 Nm and has a maximum rotational speed of 3,500 rpm.
