These goggles are designed to prevent small particles, liquids and gases from getting into the eye area. Liquid splashes are kept out with indirect venting or ventless designs. The liquid/chemical goggles are rated ANSI D3. Goggles also can provide protection against dust and debris. ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2015 has designated testing for dust and debris. The goggles are marked D4 for “dust” or D5 for “fine dust.” With respect to fogging, venting helps as does MCR Safety’s MAX6 with anti-fog coatings.
