The compact ring drive (CRD) 250B includes a built-in zero backlash locking/brake design that delivers twice the nominal torque without increasing the CRD footprint. It is durable, with a brake life of 1 million cycles, and requires little to no maintenance. The brake is spring-engaged and pneumatically released so that it will default to lock in a power failure or emergency situation. Air line management has been facilitated with radial slots for cable/line routing and pneumatic bard fitting installed. Other features include holding torque of 800 Nm, maximum release pressure of 60 psi and fully sealed IP65-rated housing. The drive is e-stop capable.
