This high-acceleration, voice coil-driven, X-Y positioning stage with a precision bearing system minimizes the amount of pitch, yaw, and roll in a system. The VCS06-010-BS-01-MXY closed-loop positioning system uses a custom low-profile design with an electromagnetic circuit design. The motor has a two-axis planar coil assembly that interacts with a common magnetic circuit. This circuit design allows for a minimal overall height of 2.085 in (53 mm). Each axis has a 0.62-in (15.8-mm) stroke and generates 0.75 lb (3.3 N) of continuous force and 2.25 lb (10 N) of peak force. Each axis is guided by precision linear ball slide assemblies.
