The compact AU100-ER two-axis gimbal mount features 360° continuous rotation of each axis. It handles loads to 10 kg (22 lb) and has a clearance of 300 mm x 300 mm (11.8 in x 11.8 in) about the stage’s roll axis. The pitch axis stage is mounted on a 360 mm x 360 mm (14.173 in x 14.173 in) 13-mm (0.512-in) plate for increased stability. The roll axis table has a precision pattern of threaded holes for easy addition of fixtures or tooling. Both the pitch and roll axes are driven by bidirectional stepper motors with knobs that can be replaced with optical encoders for position verification.
