K-System interface technology is designed for applications involving both hazardous- and nonhazardous-area modules. It offers snap-on DIN rail mounting and integrated diagnostics. KC modules are 12.5 mm wide for compact single-loop integrity. Multi-channel KF modules are 20 or 40 mm wide for maximum packing density. Advanced modules can include a display for measurements and configuration, and many devices can be supplied with SIL 2, SIL 3 and supporting documentation. The Power Rail is an insert for the standard 35-mm DIN mounting rail and is designed to energize modules. It reduces wiring and maintenance costs and transmits a collective error message for improved performance.
