The MultiLink communication interface enables OPC UA and MQTT support in the line of ICE2 and ICE3 IO-Link masters. Both ICE 2 (EtherNet/IP) and ICE3 (Profinet) masters accommodate traditional sensor-to-PLC integration and can be used for new and retrofit projects. They also are well-suited for Industry 4.0 and IIoT cloud-based systems, sharing sensor data to cloud or enterprise with zero disruption to critical PLC communication. With a completely Web-based configuration concept that does not require additional software, the IO-Link masters can be used for sensor-to-cloud IIoT applications in which no PLC is present.
