Industrial Edge can run on a range of hardware—integrated in controllers and HMIs or on industrial PCs, from embedded to server PCs. In addition to edge-enabled unified HMI panels and PLCs, the IPC227E (Nanobox PC) provides the power of edge computing to deliver data processing on the plant floor. It is powered by an Intel processor, 2.5-in SATA HDD ≥ 320 GB and SSD storage and DDR3L RAM. It also is expandable, including PCIe and flash slots. Ethernet (1,000 Mbps), USB 3.0/2.0 and COM (RS 232/422/485) ports allow for many connectivity options.
