A Control Design reader writes: A while ago, I saw a demonstration of NASA’s virtual interface environment workstation. At the time, it seemed like futuristic technology, but simulated environments have since surfaced in numerous industrial training applications.
Are there any examples of companies running machines from workstations with simulated interfaces? One of our customers in the automotive industry is always raising the bar on technology. Is a simulated interface workstation feasible, or is it still impractical for production? What other advancements are there in workstation interfaces?
