Industrial Internet Consortium and Industrial Internet Brazilian Association agree to liaison

The organizations will work together to align efforts to maximize interoperability, portability, security and privacy for the industrial Internet as well as promote testbeds in Brazil

The Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC)and the Industrial Internet Brazilian Association (ABII), a non-profit organization created to accelerate the growth of industrial Internet in Brazil, announced they have agreed to a liaison. Under the agreement, the IIC and ABII will work together to align efforts to maximize interoperability, portability, security and privacy for the industrial Internet.

According to the IIC, joint activities will include identifying and sharing IIoT best practices, realizing interoperability by harmonizing architecture and other elements, collaborating on standardization, promoting testbeds in Brazil.

"We are excited about working with ABII to accelerate the adoption of the industrial Internet in Brazil,” said Wael William Diab, chair of the IIC Liaison Working Group. “We welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge and collaborate with ABII members as Brazil looks to capitalize on the many opportunities IoT brings to commercial industries.”

"We are thrilled with the liaison with IIC as it connects the Brazilian ecosystem to rest of the world," said José Rizzo, President of ABII. "Reciprocally, it will also provide access to the Brazilian market for IIC members and other institutions that have liaison with the Industrial Internet Consortium."
