IMTS Partners With New Automation Show

Show Geared Toward Solutions for Production Automation
The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is teaming up this year with Deutsche Messe to introduce a new show geared toward solutions for production automation. Along with the manufacturing technology, metalworking and precision manufacturing focus of IMTS, machine builders will also be able to check in on the first Industrial Automation North America (IANA) show Sept. 10–15 at Chicago's McCormick Place.

"We are thrilled to reinforce the international nature of IMTS by having one of manufacturing's premier trade show organizers join with us," said Peter Eelman, IMTS vice president exhibitions and communications. "And this is a major step in expanding and strengthening the range of solutions available to IMTS visitors."

In its 29th year, IMTS is set to be one of the biggest yet, expecting more than 1,800 companies to fill some 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space. Manufacturing industry professionals will be able to see more than 15,000 new machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems and processes to improve efficiency.

In another first, the show will include an IMTS Job Center, created in partnership with Trillium CNC/CNC Jobs.

IMTS also is boosting educational opportunities this year. In addition to the five conference tracks presented as part of IMTS, there will be six co-located conference programs, two of which come from the IANA event.
