Microprecision Electronics acquires Wilbrecht Electronics’ LEDCO Division

Microprecision Electronics acquired Wilbrecht Electronics’ LEDCO Division to provide U.S.-made LED assemblies, metal foil resistors, microswitches and sealed position switches. The Wilbrecht LEDCO division includes sales offices in St. Paul, Minn., and the QPL-certified factory in Huron, S.D. The new entity will operate as a Microprecision subsidiary under the name Wilbrecht LEDCO.

A Swiss-based manufacturer of custom microswitches and sealed position switches, Microprecision Electronics was founded in 1956 and began as a manufacturer and supplier of precision parts for the Swiss watch industry. These competencies led the company to develop microswitches, and since then Microprecision has focused on the development, manufacturing and distribution of customized switches for OEM transmission and brakes, electrical and machine tool.
