2012 marks the 30th anniversary of Daisy Data Displays, Inc. (D3), industry leader in developing specialized and ruggedized computers, displays, and keyboards designed to endure harsh industrial and plant environments.

D3 which was first known as Daisy Data Terminals, was founded in 1982 by Henry Shefet. Shefet and a group of dedicated colleagues, originally designed and manufactured terminals, but changed the company's name when they recognized the industries need for hazardous and industrial area operator interface. DDT became Daisy Data, Inc. in 1989 and the company finalized the name of D3 in 2005.

The company started in Shefet's basement in 1982 and has grown into a 70,000 ft² facility which is shared with their sister company, York Haven Fabricators. What began as a small family-owned business has evolved into a major leading contender in the industrial and hazardous area market, with over 1000 product designs on record.

"While D3 remains a family-owned business, our growth and innovations over the last three decades are anything but small," said D3 President David "Avi" Shefet. "Our ability to respond to customer demands has helped us earn the trust of many Fortune 500 companies and the United States military."
