The company can trace its experience in the development of solderless terminals and crimp technology back to 1948
TE Connectivity (TE) have announced the seven billionth shipment of PLASTI-GRIP terminals since the inception of the company.
“To reach the 7 billion milestone is an amazing achievement for our PLASTI-GRIP products,” said Callum Luff, product manager. “The fact that these terminals and splices have stood the test of time in a wide variety of applications shows the staying power of the product. Our customers know PLASTI-GRIP products are high quality, easy to use and reliable.”
TE’s PLASTI-GRIP terminals have a funneled wire entry on each PLASTI-GRIP terminal that permits rapid wire insertion during high speed production, and all terminals crimp with TE-designed application tooling.
PLASTI-GRIP terminals are available in ring, spade and flanged tongue terminals, as well as parallel and butt splices in wire sizes ranging from 26 AWG to 2/0AWG (0.12 – 76 mm2). PLASTI-GRIP is UL listed and CSA certified, and has a maximum operating voltage of 600V and a maximum operating temperature up to 105 degrees Celsius.
