The award-winning project is a magnetic identification solution as an alternative to optically readable codes and RFID tags. The ID tag is applied beneath a non-magnetic protective layer and integrated into the respective product. This integration can be done by welding, vulcanization or injection. The robustness of the data carriers in terms of thermal and chemical resistance is a particular advantage in industrial applications, as it means that production equipment can be automatically identified and logged. In addition, the product provides dependable protection against plagiarism.

More than 150 startups showcased their innovations at Hannover Messe this year. “The sheer passion with which these young companies go into the market and promote their products is fascinating. With the HERMES Startup AWARD, Deutsche Messe annually honors a company that is younger than five years old and whose product or solution has a particularly high level of technological innovation.
