The Q5X background suppression laser is a problem-solving sensor in a rectangular housing. With a range of 50 mm to 5 m, it offers high excess gain for reliable detection of the darkest objects (<0.1% reflective black targets) and of black targets against a black background, black targets against a shiny metal background, clear and reflective objects, multicolor packaging and targets of all colors. A jam detection model alerts operators to production line jams, reducing or preventing downtime. A dual teach mode measures both distance and light intensity to solve challenging applications. It is programmable via onboard user interface, remote teach, IO-Link or optional remote sensor display.
