The Q5X time-of-flight sensor detects jams on conveyor lines without relying on gaps between packages, preventing damage to products and reducing equipment wear. The 5-m time-of-flight sensor has higher excess gain than the company's 2-m triangulation sensor as you get farther away from the sensor for consistent detection of dark objects. This sensor can see <0.1% reflective black surfaces, ensuring reliable detection of black rubber, foam, neoprene and similar objects. It also detects black targets against a black background, black targets against a shiny metal background, clear and reflective objects, multicolor packaging and targets of all colors.
