Schneider Electric Launches Second Automation Unit in India

New Factory Will Manufacturer Electricity Grid Components

Energy management products and systems, Schneider Electric, is building a new factory near Chennai, India to manufacturer electricity grid components.

The new plant will double Schneider Electric's production capabilities in domestic and international markets. Anil Chaudhry, country president and managing director, India, noted the factory near Poonamallee, a Chennai suburb, has created more than 150 jobs.

The factory will be Schneider electric's second automation unit in India. The factory will also manufacturer a new line of products including feeder automation systems.
