The THZ3 compact dual-input smart HART temperature transmitter in DIN rail-mount housing is equipped with associated intrinsically safe (AIS) sensor connections. The AIS option allows direct connection of sensors located in hazardous areas because it includes an internal intrinsically safe barrier in the product’s front end. The universal mounting bracket snaps on and off of 35-mm top hat DIN rails and standard relay tracks. The transmitter is an associated apparatus suitable for mounting in nonhazardous or Class I, Div. 2/Zone 2 hazardous locations with sensor input terminals connected to equipment or sensors located in Class I, II and III, Div. 1/Zone 0/1 hazardous locations.
