JVL ServoStep integrated motors include Add-On-Instructions to help with setup and programming in Rockwell Automation’s Studio 5000 software. The all-in-one unit includes a motor, an absolute multiturn encoder, a drive, a controller, a PLC and an Ethernet switch as well as a TÜV-approved STO option. The integrated design with the controller in the motor minimizes the control cabinet’s size. Fewer components in the cabinet translates to lower cooling requirements. The motors have eight programmable inputs and outputs. Each can be set up as digital input, digital output or analog input. Motors are equipped with an EtherNet/IP interface.
