The embedded Ethernet switch in the SD31045E2 and SD17060E2 networked series drives provides a network connection for additional devices and eliminates the need for an external Ethernet switch. Device level ring (DLR) topology provides a fault-tolerant connection that can detect a break in the network and redirect the network traffic, maintaining communication and system up-time. These stepper indexers/drives provide up to 4.5 Arms or 6 Arms of output current, making them compatible with AMCI’s complete line of stepper motors. In addition to the built-in network interface and switch, the integrated network drives feature encoder feedback, micro-stepping, programmable output current, antiresonance circuitry, vari-step velocity control and a compact design.
