POSITAL-FRABA has announced its support for University4Industry, a new start-up that aims to provide individuals and companies with opportunities to learn about knowledge- and communications-based technologies that are radically changing how industries are designing, building, delivering and supporting products and services.

University4Industry is an online education platform that offers courses on new industrial technologies that define Industry 4.0, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and digitization in a broader sense. The emphasis is on practical knowledge and real-world examples. According to POSITAL, its objective is to help solve critical skill gaps for industry.

Also, POSITAL added that University4Industry coursework is developed in collaboration with established educational institutions and with industrial enterprises that are actively tackling the challenges of the new industrial age.

POSITAL-FRABA is the subject of a course called “Industry 4.0 Case Study: Digitization of the Supply Chain," and describes how POSITAL developed an advanced manufacturing and order fulfillment system using new technologies, such as universal connectivity, cloud-based knowledge access and embedded microprocessors in smart devices. With this system in place, POSITAL has been able to achieve mass customization.
