The Center for Manufacturing at University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., used to be the manufacturing community's "go to" when seeking assistance with sustainability initiatives. In April 2012, the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing (ISM) replaced the Center, developing four specific missions to drive advancements in sustainable manufacturing.
