Scott Saunders, chief operating officer for Moore-Industries Intl., says "HART Communication is about more than just the handheld." Improving productivity and reliability at the plant level has always been the name of the game. We’ve been seeing an uprising in the use of off-line, on-demand HART connectivity, but sister publication Control Global says there are further strides that cane be made by users who choose to pursue full-time, integrated HART connectivity instead. While off-line HART improves productivity and efficiency for routine and reactive maintenance tasks, full-time HART connectivity takes this even further by leveraging the HART Protocol's diagnostic power.
