LEGO Education to Deliver Nearly $5,000 in STEM Resources to UK Schools
Jan. 1, 2000
LEGO Education's Elite Engineering Programme (EEP) develops the pilot LEGO Mindstorms Education EV3 resource.
For those unfamiliar with LEGO Education, the program was created to work with teachers and classrooms to help support educational experiences that will prepare today's students for tomorrow's world.
It's private sector initiative, Elite Engineering Programme (EEP), developed the pilot LEGO Mindstorms Education EV3, a resource to school for students ages 12 and up to help them build programmable robots, and compete against other students at regional and national contests.
Currently 25 UK-based schools are waiting in line to receive the EV3 resources, worth almost $5,000 (~ £3,000) for free. The package contains free training for teachers so they can better understand how to deliver the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) National Curriculum.
