Eight intrinsically safe modules have been added to the extreme XTR automation portfolio. They include digital, analog, RTD and counter modules. They can connect to sensors and actuators in Zones 1 and 0 and also have ATEX/IECEx certifications for installation in an approved enclosure within Zone 2/22. The 750 Series XTR Ex i modules can withstand extreme environmental conditions such as extreme vibration (resistant up to 5 g), temperature (range of -40 to 158 °F) and shock (resistant up to 25 g). They are immune to electromagnetic interference and other interference as per EN60870-2-1.
