Phoenix Contact’s test disconnect terminal block portfolio includes XT connection technology. The XTVMEA series has an automatic make-before-break feature for current transformer (CT) shorting applications. With a lever-actuated disconnect, this block is designed to improve safety and testing of CT applications. With a two-step lever actuation, the blocks are integrated with an automatic make-before-break feature that safely shorts the current transformer before disconnection. After disconnection, the user can utilize the six different function shafts (bridging channels) to incorporate different bridging and testing accessories into the blocks. Phoenix Contact’s pre-made CT metering set is designed to give users the necessary blocks and accessories to set up, disconnect and test a CT circuit. These blocks are part of the Clipline complete family and are equipped with Push-X, Phoenix Contact’s connection technology.
