With 12th-generation Intel Core processors, the C6040 ultra-compact industrial PC (IPC) is designed to add further scalability the C60xx series. With up to 16 cores, the controller is designed for handling extremely complex automation projects in one ruggedized controller measuring 132 x 202 x 76 mm. The Intel Core i7 and i9 processors used in the C6040 are installed in a hybrid architecture, meaning four additional efficiency cores are added to the Core i7 and eight to the Core i9 processors. This combination allows applications to be implemented on a total of 12 or 16 processor cores.
