The long-range F192 reader puts out the maximum power allowed by the FCC, 4W EIRP, making it suitable for reading tags at distances of more than 15 ft. The output power is adjustable to as low as 10 mW, so the product works equally well for short-read ranges. The completely self-contained reader includes the antenna, amplifier and reading electronics all in one. This design eliminates the need for commercial-style coaxial cables. Instead, it uses industrial M12 connection cables (an industry standard), which allow operators to run more than 3,200 ft back to the main control system with no reader performance degradation.
