Version 14 of the Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal includes new functionalities for the digital enterprise. Cloud-based engineering now is included. From their private cloud, users can access the plant controller with the new TIA Portal Cloud Connector or use MindSphere, the Siemens cloud solution for industry, for additional digital services. PLCSim Advanced has interfaces to simulation software such as Plant Simulation and Process Simulate, and Teamcenter, a data collaboration platform for design, planning and engineering, has a new interface. This version extends motion control functionality and applications within the S7-1500 controller family, and a multi-user function has been added for decentralized work concepts.
