The Micropulse TA12 hazardous-area linear position sensor is available with new features and improved performance, while maintaining 100% backward compatibility to the existing BTL5 TA12. Features include noncontact, wear-free magnetostrictive technology, measuring ranges up to 7,620 mm (300 in), USB configuration capability for in-application customization (Plus version), dual-position magnet capability to monitor two independent motions (Plus version), field-replaceable electronics module for in-cylinder repairs and wide operating temperature range—standard is -40 to 80 °C (-40 to 176 °F) and extended low-temperature operation is -50 °C (SA418 option). Available interfaces are analog voltage/current and synchronous serial interface (SSI).
