New additions have been made to the XTR line of harsh-environment (-40 to 70 °C extreme-temperature and 5-g vibration resistance) I/O. The compact PFC200 controller now is available in several harsh-environment XTR variants. Modules feature varying communication interfaces, specifically Ethernet, RS-232/RS-485, CAN, CANopen and Profibus-DP-Slave interfaces, and DNP3, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870 protocols supporting use as a smart-grid controller. Three-phase power measurement modules expand the application range of the XTR to help reduce energy consumption by monitoring total power consumption, power factors and harmonics.
