The SmartPAC now supports high-speed controller area network (CAN) and SAE J1939 protocols. The built-in interface provides a direct connection to the CAN bus, without requiring an external converter. The PLC can be used to control and monitor CAN/J1939 devices as part of a machine or process control application, log data and perform statistical analysis. It can support as many as 16 different protocols simultaneously, thus providing solutions for a range of applications, including transportation and generator and battery monitoring.
