The CP1L-E with embedded Ethernet connects to the Internet, providing remote access, monitoring and data logging. The embedded Ethernet port with socket services enables OEMs to adopt such protocols as UDP, TCP, Modbus TCP and Omron’s Fins Ethernet protocol for connection to other Omron PLCs and HMIs. An Automatic-Connect function connects instantly over a default IP address to a switch or directly to computer or HMI without a crossover cable. Three Ethernet-enabled versions are available, offering 20, 30 or 40 I/O points (expandable to 160 I/O points).
