SPD Series DIN-rail-mountable surge protectors have local and remote self-monitoring for low-voltage distribution and protection. Design is based on high-energy varistors (MOVs) equipped with thermal disconnects and integral failure indicators. Varistors are housed in pluggable modules with connections that are mechanically keyed to the base to prevent incorrect arrestor module replacement.
