An electronic survey of Control Design readers was conducted in October 2013 in order to identify usage and application trends of machine safety among the industrial machine builders that comprise Control Designs readership.
Respondents report getting their guidance on machine safety and applicable standards information from a variety of sources. For example, nearly 60% get safety guidance and st andards from OSHA; 49% get it from NFPA; 46% from ANSI; 37.1% from IEC; 32.6% from ISO; and 31.5% from EN.
