There's No Place Like Home

    We continue to hear more about the "re-shoring" of American manufacturing. Apparently, U.S. manufacturers are finding more reasons to bring production back home. Raj Batra, president of Siemens Industry's Industry Automation division, and Helmuth Ludwig, CEO of Siemens Industry, both talked about it during the company's latest Automation Summit last month.

    We continue to hear more about the "re-shoring" of American manufacturing. Apparently, U.S. manufacturers are finding more reasons to bring production back home. Raj Batra, president of Siemens Industry's Industry Automation division, and Helmuth Ludwig, CEO of Siemens Industry, both talked about it during the company's latest Automation Summit last month.

    Ludwig pointed to the non-agility of global supply chains, as well as increasing parity of worker wages around the world, as a couple reasons to bring manufacturing closer to home.
