The Timken Co., a manufacturer of engineered bearings and power transmission products, partnered with international hunger relief organization Rise Against Hunger (RAH) to package meals for food-insecure communities across the globe.
"Timken is committed to achieving greater impact and serving as a leading corporate citizen in our communities,” said Heather Wuebben, HR manager – belts and chain. “We’re thrilled to support RAH’s efforts to help those in need.”
The Clinton and Fulton plants combined to collect more than 1,000 pounds of non-perishable items for local food banks. Additionally, Dave Dehlman, president - belts and chain, hosted a corporate golf fund-raiser and 80 Timken volunteers participated in a meal-packing competition. The three events raised $2,000 for local food banks and the volunteers packed 21,000 meals for global communities in less than an hour.
