The newly-acquired business will operate under the name Case RMC

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering (WM) has acquired Control Concepts and Case M&I, makers of control systems for turbine generators for the power industry and rotating machinery controls in the refining and chemical industries. The newly-acquired business will operate under the name Case RMC and will provide WM customers with rotating machine control capabilities. Case RMC customers gain the added resources of engineering, fabrication and automation control systems of WM Engineering.

According to WM Engineering, this acquisition strengthens both companies by providing customers a broader range of industrial engineering and system solutions to meet their needs from a single source solutions provider. The combined firm will directly address some of the most critical issues facing industry today – providing single source integrated mechanical, electrical and digital solutions for rotating equipment and industrial applications.

"The key to effective long-term customer support of industrial infrastructure is for organizations to be capable of meeting the diverse needs demanded by our customers," said Neal Wunderlich, president of WM Engineering. "By combining Case RMC with our existing portfolio of services, we are confident that the added capabilities will not only improve daily plant operations, but ensure that customers receive the long term support of their industrial systems."
