This year, Eaton is bringing a mobile “Industrial Controls in Motion” across the United States. The traveling exhibit will offer hands-on, experiential learning on-the-go, providing a world of industrial control products and other advanced energy efficiency devices to the public in a 40-foot trailer.

“Industrial Controls in Motion” provides several fully functional, real-world environments for discovering its latest advances in HVAC/R, pumping, process industry and machinery applications.

Visitors area able to walk through the trailer and see Eaton processes working live in both commercial and industrial application environments. Demos include:

  • Redundant variable frequency drive (VFD) HVAC system
  • Multi-pump booster system
  • Material handling conveyor
  • Mixing and separating process

An interactive Internet of Things (IoT) component also allows visitors to create their own fault situation and receive alerts on their mobile phones while they are immersed in the trailer’s environments.

Eaton experts will be on hand to discuss customer challenges and emerging energy trends.

Customers visiting the trailer can also learn more about how to meet energy-efficiency requirements, simplify systems management, and lower the cost of application, installation and ownership.

“Eaton is committed to helping our customers understand how energy efficient controls can help them work smarter, cut costs, increase energy efficiency and keep them safe,” said Tom Neuberger, commercial marketing manager for Eaton’s Controls and Protection Division.

This mobile tour first debuted in Las Vegas, Nevada at the 2017 AHR Exposition in January. More than 20 stops are planned in cities across the country throughout 2017. The tour will conclude in November with a final visit to Fresno, California.
