Motion Industries, Inc., an owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, last month acquired Epperson and Company, an industrial distributor specializing in material handling products and services.
Epperson and Company is headquartered in Tampa, Fla., with full-service locations in Jacksonville and Miami. Offerings include conveyor-related products, such as belting, idlers and pulleys, as well as services such as system installation and removal, belting splicing and installation, idler replacement and other maintenance projects.

"The nice fit for both companies in the Florida market was key to our decision, and we are optimistic about the future."

Motion Industries, Inc., also finalized an acquisition agreement with Missouri Power Transmission last month. Missouri Power Transmission, with 15 locations and based in St. Louis, Mo., is a distributor of power transmission equipment and industrial supplies.Â
