This year, Moxa competed with 1,816 manufacturers, designers and architects from 53 nations for the Red Dot quality seal. The process evaluation took several days and the 40 members of the Red Dot jury tested, discussed and evaluated 4,815 drafts. Moxa's MPC-2240 marine panel computer was selected as a winner for its outstanding design and quality for marine time industry.

The red dot design award is one of the world's most renowned and respected awards for product design. Winners have been selected every year since 1995 under the auspice of Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, with recipients highly regarded around the world.

Features of the MPC

The MPC-2240 is a sleek 24 in. flat marine panel computer for marine e-navigation systems. Powered by an Intel Ivy Bridge CPU, the MPC-2240 panel computers answer the heavy graphic computing demand that marine applications, such as ECDIS and radar systems require.

The MPC-2240 was built with a modular design to help reduce deployment costs and overall time-to-market by allowing rapid integration into a wide variety of systems. The MPC-2240's fanless thermal design provides reliability when working through the heat extremes common in industrial marine environments. The industrial panel computers quality also certified by marine standards, including IEC 60945, DNV, and IACS E10, and may also be ordered in type-approved ECDIS IEC 61174 models for use in bridge navigation systems.
