E-F@ctory Alliance of Mitsubishi Electric Europe Uses nxtControl IEC 61499-Based Technology to Establish New Standards in Industrial Automation

Building and industrial automation software developer, nxtControl, has partnered with the e-F@ctory Alliance of Mitsubishi Electric - Europe to reduce engineering efforts and create more flexible solutions.

nxtControl distributed control technology is based on IEC61499 standards and integrates all pertinent automation tasks in one single tool, making it the most efficient and cost-effective engineering tool for distributed automation architectures.

"Control applications in distributed plant and equipment soon become very complex," says Thomas Lantermann, senior business development manager for Mitsubishi Electric European Business Group. "An IEC 61499-compliant automation architecture is the right solution for developing and adapting complex systems."

nxtControl provides an IEC 61499-compliant programming environment for Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ Platform control equipment. Customers can easily program distributed automation architecture for controls, motion, servo systems, HMIs and more, while gaining the highest level of interoperability and portability.
