Partnership Aimed at Extending Global Reach of Both Firms, While Expanding Product Choices and Options
A new partnership has been formed between interconnect solutions providers Molex and electronic and electrical product distributor Waldom Electronics to create expansion opportunities into the European market. The agreement authorizes Waldon to market and sell Molex products exclusively to distribution firms such as Arrow Electronics, Avnet, Farnell Element 14, RS Components and TTI operating within the European Union, according to Peter Rovekamp, general manager for Waldom.Molex and Waldom have a long-standing existing partnership in the North American electronics distribution market. With the new contract, Waldom will continue to support all Molex products, including those of Woodhead and Brad brand products."Building on the Molex tradition of serving customers globally, Waldom brings added value to distributors by providing less than minimum order quantities, availability of B, C and D products, design kits and special packaging — all of which is beneficial to our companies and European and global distributors," said Fred Bell, vice president of global distribution for Molex.
