Murata Machinery (Muratec USA), a computer numerical control (CNC) turning machine manufacturer, announced a dealer partnership with Selway Machine Tool Company, a West Coast provider of advanced machine tool and automation products. This new collaboration with Selway strengthens Muratec USA’s established sales and service footprint across key western states, including California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada.
Founded in 1963, Selway Machine Tool Company is a third-generation, family-owned business renowned for delivering customized machining and automation solutions.
Murata Machinery USA, established in 1974, is the North American subsidiary of Murata Machinery Ltd., a family-owned company founded in Kyoto, Japan, in 1935 and proudly celebrating 90 years of innovation in 2025. As a CNC turning and fabrication automation manufacturer, Muratec USA’s Turning Division specializes in high-precision, automated turning centers engineered to boost throughput, reduce labor requirements and improve part quality.
As part of this partnership, Selway will represent Muratec’s complete line of CNC turning centers—including its MW Series, single- and twin-spindle models, Y-axis live tooling machines, and fully automated part handling systems. Many of these solutions feature Muratec’s standard integrated gantry, enabling precise, hands-free loading and unloading that significantly enhances productivity. These technologies are ideally suited for high-precision, high-productivity environments and will be positioned both as stand-alone offerings and as part of integrated automation systems.
