Nefab, a global provider of industrial packaging and logistics, has expanded its operations in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a 32,300-sq-ft production and engineering facility for advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure industries across western Mexico.

The expansion marks the launch of Nefab’s advanced engineering center in Guadalajara, combining packaging design, testing, prototyping and production capabilities on a single campus. The engineering center will serve customers across Mexico and the Americas. The Guadalajara campus will include advanced testing and prototyping capabilities, enabling engineers to simulate real-world transport conditions and validate packaging performance before equipment is shipped.

“Guadalajara has become one of the most important technology and manufacturing hubs in Mexico,” said Eric Wickman, Nefab's regional managing director for Latin America. “As investments grow in areas such as AI and data center infrastructure, packaging requirements are becoming more complex. Expanding our engineering capabilities locally allows us to support customers with faster development cycles and more specialized packaging solutions.”

The facility supports companies operating in digital infrastructure, electronics, healthcare, semiconductors, automotive and broader industrial sectors, where packaging must protect high-value and sensitive products moving through global supply chains.

“Advanced testing allows us to recreate the stresses products experience across global logistics routes,” said Guilherme Ueda, engineering & innovation manager, Latin America, at Nefab. “That level of validation is critical for protecting complex equipment such as server racks, electronics and other high-value technology.”

The expansion is expected to create 60 new engineering, technical and production roles within the first year. The strengthened Guadalajara campus builds on Nefab’s recent regional investments. In 2025, the company launched a thin-gauge thermoformed packaging operation integrating in-house design, production, and recycling of reusable and recyclable packaging systems.

Nefab opened a facility in Grand Blanc, Michigan, in the fall of 2024.

Also, in 2025, Nefab also opened a hub in Braselton, Georgia, and an engineering center in Austin, Texas.
