3rd annual STEMpowerment Camp set for July
STEMpowerment Camp, Yokogawa of America’s annual immersive, hands-on program designed to introduce high-school students to real world applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will be hosted at Yokogawa’s Sugar Land, Texas, office in July 2026.
In addition to technical learning, the program places a strong emphasis on personal development. Each day features dedicated empowerment and leadership-building sessions designed to boost confidence and strengthen communication skills. The camp also incorporates movement-based vitality breaks to help students recharge, support brain health and stay fully engaged throughout the day.
The STEMpowerment Camp primarily serves high-school students across greater Houston and surrounding communities, reflecting Yokogawa’s commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders pursuing STEM education and careers. By pairing advanced technical exposure with confidence building experiences, the program aims to help address the gender gap in STEM fields and nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators.
Now entering its third year, the STEMpowerment Camp underscores Yokogawa’s ongoing investment in education, workforce development and community engagement. The initiative supports the company’s broader mission to inspire curiosity, cultivate talent and strengthen the pipeline of future STEM professionals. Applications are open now through May 31.
