Applied Motion Products launches its first Motion Control Design & Innovation Competition. The competition is open to teams of young engineers primarily university and high school students, robotics and motion control clubs.
Using a $1,000 credit from the Applied Motion Products (AMP) web store, each team is required to implement the products bought in a motion control application and feature this in a 5-10 min YouTube video.
Examples of motion control application can range from a ping pong ball launcher to a camera tracking an object. Here's where each team can be as creative as their imaginations allow them to be.
The finished video clip will be submitted to Applied Motion and the winning clip will eb feautured on the company's blog and YouTube Channel. The winning teams will receive cash prizes. First place will be awarded $5,000 and 2nd place $2,000.
Applicants must enter by Friday, February 13 and videos must get posted by Friday, May 1. The winners will be announced on May 15, 2015.
