The SGH10L position sensor is designed for use in applications in which almost no stroke loss is acceptable when integrating the sensor into the cylinder. This is enabled by mounting the sensor laterally on the hydraulic cylinder in a specially developed housing rather than in the cylinder base. The sensor can be used in hydraulic cylinders with small diameters (20 mm and smaller) or integrated in cylinders with mechanical end-position cushioning. Interfaces include analog current or voltage outputs, CANopen and SAE J1939. The intuitive teach-in function means that the sensor—available in 500- and 1,000-mm measuring ranges—can be taught to the exact measuring range.
