The Compact EAS is an electrohydrostatic actuation system intended for applications that require high dynamics and power density, use programmable cycles and demand high levels of accuracy and repeatability. These units comprise six elements: a servo motor, internal gear pump, compensation tank, valve block, stop valve and cylinder. Everything on the system is integrated; there are no pipes or hoses. The servo motor controls pump output and direction of rotation, eliminating the need for directional or proportional valves and resulting in a defined linear movement of the cylinder. Forces, speed and position on this linear actuation axis all are freely programmable.
